Hutt City Council (HCC) is seeking proposals from shortlisted modular construction companies for the new Moera Neighbourhood Hub which will replace the existing library building on Randwick Road, Lower Hutt.

We are looking for a supplier who works in the sustainable construction space and is open to maximizing opportunities to build a sustainable building.

The supplier must utilize ‘offsite’ construction methods so that progress is not held up by poor weather and to ensure the building is relocatable due to any future impacts of climate change or cross valley connection developments. Off-site construction using modular units will also reduce the time that the library service at Moera must operate on a temporary basis.

We have other neighbourhood hubs which are scheduled for major work and thus the capacity of a supplier to complete the work within nine months or shorter is important to us.
