Hauraki District Council invite Registrations of Interest (ROI) from suitably qualified and experienced road construction companies wishing to submit a proposal for their Contract CON483 - Road Maintenance Contract. Only companies that hold current Waka Kotahi Prequalification to 1B (Routine Works) and 2C (surfacing) or can provide a suitably qualified subcontractor for surfacing, will be eligible to bid for these works.
The Council is currently finalising their procurement planning for the refresh and retender of their road maintenance contract. A procurement process is planned to commence in December 2022 and close in early February, allowing for a two-week break where no communication will be allowed over the Christmas period. The contract is expected to commence in July 2023.
The network consists of: 506km of sealed roads, 114km of unsealed roads and 163 bridges and major culverts. The key outcomes for this contract are a safe and functional roading network that is well maintained in a cost effective manner.
The initial tenure will be 5 years with a possible contract extension 2 years provided for.
The Contract will use NZS 3917 General Conditions of Contract to deliver Council’s road network maintenance activities, incorporating both measure and value and performance based items. The Contract will also deliver some asset renewals and some minor capital projects.
Council intends to host a combined industry briefing shortly following receipt of ROIs. The intent of this briefing is to provide further procurement, contract and network information to all registered contractors. Invitations to this briefing will be issued to respondents to this ROI.
Responding to this ROI involves submitting a single A4 page letter, in response to this advertisement, confirming the interest of the individual company or consortia, and providing details of your assigned point of contact. Registrations of interest are to be uploaded to the electronic tenderbox on GETs.
Hauraki District Council reserves the right to withdraw from the procurement process (including this EOI) at any time without notice before entering into the Contract. If the Council withdraws from the procurement process, then no ROI or RFP respondent shall have any claim for compensation or otherwise against the Council.
