Hastings District Council, together with Napier City Council, wish to invite solid waste professionals to register their interest to provide technical advice in the development of a business case to identify the optimum integrated solid waste management system for our region.
The Councils wish to identify solid waste solutions which:
- cause the least harm to people and the environment;
- extract as much value from waste as is possible;
- are affordable for our communities;
- are robust and sustainable;
- reduce waste which is disposed of to landfill
Consultants with capability and experience in solid waste management, particularly in the field of alternatives to landfill, are requested to submit statements of their capabilities and experience in order to short-list consultants who will be invited to submit proposals for this work.
