Scope Tenders are invited for:
This contract is for the active slope protection which involves drilling and grouting of
steel anchors into the face of the slip area with a reinforced concrete facing to
stabilise the slip face and to anchor the at risk abutment into more stable ground. The
bridge shall be restricted for over loaded vehicles during construction whilst still
allowing logging and other heavy vehicle to use Waitara Road for the duration of the
works.
Construction work involves the following:
• Erection of temporary works (scaffolding)
• Traffic management
• Remove debris from the slip face to provide suitable ground for covering with reinforced concrete
• Drilling the ground below the abutment and grouting in rock anchors.
• Application of structural concrete and reinforcing cover over the slip area
• Installation of drainage holes within the concrete facing to allow subsurface water to be drained from behind solid face.
