Scope
Expressions of Interest are invited for a proposed trunk water main (approximately 5km) from Hastings to Havelock North and associated works. The proposed route alignment is predominantly within the live traffic lane from the Heretaunga St/Sylvan Rd intersection via St Aubyn St, Windsor Ave, Howard St, St Georges Rd, Crosses Road to the Napier Rd/Karanema Dr intersection. This work involves:
 Health & Safety, Traffic and Environmental Management
 Quality Management, Testing, and As-builts
 Public liaison and communication with the community and directly affected parties
 Preconstruction services and site investigations
 Temporary Works Design for trench shoring and dewatering if required
 Complete installation of approximately 4,100m of DN500 Concrete Lined Steel trunk watermain and approximately 1,100m of DN375 trunk watermain (material to be determined) predominantly via open cut construction including:
 Connections to existing water network
 Scours and hydrants
 Air valves
 Isolation valves
 Pipe crossing suspended from the existing Crosses Rd bridge including expansion joints
 All associated fitting, pipe specials and thrust restraint
 On-line renewal and upgrade of approximately 500m of DN300 PVC foul sewer main with 8 No. DN1050 manholes and associated lateral connections.
 Complete installation of approximately 150m of DN150 PE sewer rising main
 Full reinstatement likely to include road pavement, chip seal and asphaltic concrete surfacing, berms, kerb and channel, traffic islands/roundabouts, and light poles.
