The scope of this RFP is Surgical Tables for the use in Operating Rooms/Theatres. Respondents must be able to provide all of the following:
(a) The operating parts and proprietary parts as required
(b) Table accessories as required (e.g. arm boards, leg holders, etc)
(c) Service and maintenance for the life of the Operating Table (as required by a DHB).
For the avoidance of doubt, this RFP is not intended for supply of Surgical Tables intended for private practice rooms. Tables in private practice rooms are usually different in purpose and function; notably, that they are often manual and not electric. The proposed term of the Panel is five years with a two year right of renewal. The Panel will be a national panel and we intend to enter into an Agreement enabling all DHBs to purchase under the resulting Panel contracts.
