Future Procurement Opportunity Restoration Services Panel

Greater Wellington Regional Council has a significant programme of native planting across the Wellington Region and are looking to establish a restoration services panel to support this mahi.

The open panel will cover seed collection, seed cleaning/management, propagation/plant supply, site preparation, planting and aftercare, and will be established for a 10 year term.

Restoration work that currently undertaken by the Parks, Flood Protection, Biodiversity and Land Management Departments will be contracted through these panel suppliers once they are assessed, approved and onboarded.

There will be two groups within the panel - large scale suppliers who are able to produce/plant 50,000+ plants annually and smaller "niche" operators. Large scale suppliers will take on the majority of the restoration mahi with the niche suppliers focusing on smaller scale restoration projects and bespoke opportunities e.g. propagation of rare plant species.
