The Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences Limited (GNS Science) and The Institute of Environmental Science and Research (GNS/ESR) will shortly be replacing their current Financial Management Information System (FMIS), Project Management systems and HR systems, as the current systems no longer meets their requirements.
GNS/ESR are adopting a cloud-first approach to their systems acquisition, moving to a Software-as-a-Service model as part of its overall strategy for non-science systems.
The FMIS requirements are straightforward, and we expect that a mature FMIS system will accommodate requirements.
We will also implement a Professional Services Automation (PSA) capability, to support the full lifecycle of the Science Projects. Most of the GNS/ESR activity is organised through the application of a project approach to manage funded activities. We are targeting a step change in our ability to manage the lifecycle of Science Projects and will require solutions that offer asynchronous mobile support and a superior User Experience.
In support of this broad systems upgrade we are also seeking a People Information Management System (HRIS) to support all facets of the employee journey with GNS/ESR, and ideally the HRIS and future Finance/PSA solution will operate as a single solution, with seamless integration a proven aspect of the solution.
We are seeking a business partner (or partners) who will support, and collaborate with, GNS/ESR well into the future.
