Paihia Waterfront Waterside Works ROI 20-0057

Details

This Registration of Interest (ROI) invites responders to submit a proposal to be considered as a supplier to Far North Holdings for the supply and construction of one or more physical works packages for the Paihia Waterfront development.

The scope of waterside construction works related to this ROI broadly includes:

1) Construction of the new northern rock breakwater, including cutting in the breakwater toe key.

2) Construction of the new outer western rock breakwater, including cutting in the breakwater toe key.

3) Construction of the new western abutment, the inner half constructed to match the reef it is constructed on with a concrete or mudcrete core, the outer half constructed in rock.

4) Construction of the new eastern beach abutment (detailed design being completed), including:

• Piling works for a reinforced cut off wall piled to rock

• Piling works for a new deck structure

• Construction of a new concrete (or timber) deck structure

• Undercutting of seabed surface

• Construct a rock groyne

5) Construction of a new series of stormwater pipes and stormwater outfall.

6) Construction of the reclamation under the waterfront park, including anti scour facing.

7) Supply and placement of the sand required to form the new beach.

The detailed design for the eastern abutment, stormwater pipework and reclamation are still being completed.
