Government Ministers have asked the Social Policy Evaluation and Research Unit (Superu) to commission a supplier to carry out an evaluation of the Integrated Safety Response for Family Violence Pilot being undertaken in Christchurch.
The evaluation will cover:
• the extent to which the Integrated Safety Response for Family Violence model has been implemented as intended in the pilot site, including barriers and enablers to successful implementation
• emerging evidence about the effectiveness, particularly for Māori and whānau, of the Integrated Safety Response model and the practice changes in particular
• the extent to which the implementation of the model has taken account of early findings from the evaluation (i.e. is there evidence of continuous improvement)
A framework for future phases of the evaluation, particularly developing an intervention logic or logic model, identifying outcomes and associated data requirements will also be established during Phase One of the evaluation.
