Overview

This RFP relates to the procurement of Sustainable Waste Services for the Crown Research Institute (CRI), Environmental Science and Research (ESR). ESR is the New Zealand government research agency dedicated to the health, wellbeing, and safety of our communities. We use world-leading science to monitor disease, test food and products, safeguard our water, support the justice sector and more.

ESR are seeking a partnership with a waste services provider(s) to deliver their Sustainable Waste Services contract. The core service requirements of the Sustainable Waste Services agreement are for the handling, transportation, storage, and disposal of Clinical Waste and Non-Clinical Waste across all ESR sites. A unique focus for this contract is the emphasis on sustainability outcomes including identifying opportunities for landfill diversion, ensuring disposal pathway transparency, and identifying potential operational efficiencies.

This is a unique opportunity to partner with an organisation looking to change the narrative around waste within the public service sector. It will provide an innovative space for waste services providers to showcase, build on, or establish sustainability-focused waste service offerings for implementation within a Crown Agency. If you are motivated to invest in sustainability-based waste innovations, then we want to talk to you!
