EQC is amid significant business and technology change programmes that will fundamentally move the paradigm under which natural disaster events are prepared for and responded to, along with a greater emphasis on data led resilience and education.
As part of this change EQC has determined that it may require a System of Engagement platform to support critical EQC and third-party interactions, including the ability to readily and safely share information.
Salesforce has been engaged by EQC to provide the modules required to allow EQC to develop and use a prototype platform. This prototype will enable EQC to fully assess how the functionality provided by a System of Engagement platform could support EQC when interacting with third parties operationally. The initial phase of the prototype has been successful in a pre-production environment.
As part of the next phase of the prototype, EQC intends for the prototype platform to be migrated to a full production environment and enhanced to support user interactions, allowing the functionality of the prototype to be fully assessed in production. As part of this journey, enhancements and support will be required over the period from 2 August 2021 for the remainder of the duration of the prototype phase which is expected to be around 12 months (Service Duration) as the prototype evolves.
EQC’s System of Engagement prototype platform has implemented the following modules:
• Service Cloud – Enterprise Edition;
• Customer Community Plus;
• Salesforce Shield; and
• Salesforce Connect.
There will be milestone tracking of feedback of any third-party exchanging data through the System of Engagement during the prototype stage.
As there is no AOG panel available for Salesforce, an open market engagement is required to create a panel of suitably qualified suppliers to support EQC during the Service Duration.
This NOI and subsequent RFP relates to the services required during the Service Duration.
If at the end of the prototype phase a System of Engagement platform is deemed necessary (i.e. – the prototype is deemed successful at the sole discretion of EQC), then EQC will engage in an open market exercise (as required by the Government Procurement Rules) in order to procure the System of Engagement platform and related support services, using the information gathered during the prototype phase in order to inform EQC's requirements for such procurement.
