Overview

Structural Engineers – GETS Registration of Interest (ROI)
Overview:
The Earthquake Commission (“EQC”) is seeking ‘Registrations of Interest’ (ROI) from suitably qualified Structural Engineers to provide technical support for dispute resolution and/or litigation concerning EQC.

EQC requires Structural Engineers who are at a minimum Chartered Professional Engineers (CPEng) to undertake these services.

The primary role of the structural engineer engaged by EQC will be to provide independent expert advice in the form of a report. The report will set out his or her views of the natural disaster damage to residential buildings in order to enable EQC to meet its statutory duties under the Earthquake Commission Act 1993.

EQC may also require the Structural Engineer to attend site visits, consult with other experts, and attend mediations with EQC’s representatives. Should a dispute proceed to Court, EQC may require the Structural Engineer to provide expert evidence on EQC’s behalf.

Applicants should submit a brief CV and cover letter to Denis Reid; procurement@eqc.govt.nz by the 11th of September 2015.
