In the current economic environment, the Department of Conservation (the Department) has decided it would be counterproductive to continue to grow the membership of the Wild Animal Ground Control Services National Panel every year as normal.

Therefore, whilst our tender documents have stated that we will openly advertise the opportunity for new suppliers to apply to join the panel each year, we will now advertise at various periods that we consider appropriate.

Working together with the Operational Managers the Department will revisit the timing of going back out to market for additional suppliers and as part of the annual review of the panel and workload. We recommend you continue to monitor the GETS system, so you are aware of any opportunities as the arise.
