Overview

In its capacity as the Digital Lead for the New Zealand Public Service, the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) on behalf of the Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO) is seeking information from suppliers of infrastructure services, telecommunications services, and managed security services who may be interested in applying to join the new channels for these services that it is anticipated will be established on Marketplace (Pae Hokohoko, marketplace.govt.nz).
Following publication of the related Future Procurement Opportunity (FPO) notice on GETS in December 2024, this RFI precedes a future primary procurement process that is expected to occur once the new channels are established.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation and influence the future state of Digital Services procurement and its ongoing consumption in the NZ public sector.
This is an open call to all suppliers who wish to sell in-scope services to the NZ public sector (not only incumbents of the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Telecommunications as a Service (TaaS) Common Capability Agreements), to engage in a fair and equitable process of offering feedback.

Our intended outcomes of this RFI process will be to:
• Understand the size and make-up of the potential supply market;
• Analyse and consider information about relevant services received from respondents;
• Facilitate engagement with respondents through a range of mechanisms (as appropriate) to seek further clarification; and
• Validate the programme’s design thinking for the new channels and catalogues that it is intended will be established on Marketplace (Pae Hokohoko)

Responses must be submitted via the online survey / questionnaire. For details on how this is to be done, please refer to the attached documentation.
