The Telecommunications & Managed Security Services Strategic Review aims to inform the longer-term strategic direction of the Telecommunication as a Service (TaaS) panel and service catalogue managed by the Digital Public Service Branch of the Department of Internal Affairs.
This will be achieved through engagement with agencies, service providers, thought leaders and experts to identify:
• the value and performance of the telecommunications and security services currently in scope of the agreement
• the risks and issues impacting TaaS and any potential immediate opportunities
• What is next for telecommunications and security considering technical and architectural advancements, the New Zealand’s market direction, government digital strategies and what agencies need.
As part of the review, we will interview service providers, a representative selection of agencies, independent experts and access research from research entities. We will contact existing TaaS suppliers. However, to ensure the review includes a representative selection of the wider market, we are keen to identify other suitable service providers who are willing to participate in the review. This will enable us to better understand the perspectives on the current TaaS model and to help shape its future.
Participants would be required to attend an interview with CoDigital to provide your feedback. Interviews are expected to take no longer than one hour and will be held online via Microsoft Teams or, if you are Wellington based, this can be in person at our offices (40 Johnston Street, Wellington) if preferred. All interviews will be held during November 2022 at a time mutually agreed.
