The Library is looking for a vendor, with proven experience in digitising heritage items, to capture high resolution images of two significant collections: Books in Māori Ngā Rānga reo Māori and the John Scott collection of architectural drawings.
We require a vendor who can:
• Set up a temporary studio onsite as these items cannot leave the Library
• Capture high quality digital images of the items to the Library’s specifications using non-contact methods only (that is being photographed, rather than scanned)
• Capture a range of items of various physical sizes from A7 to A0
• Capture fragile, bound, or oversized items safely (note that these items cannot be disbound for digitisation)
• Deliver the images at the specified size and resolution, with the correct filenames (as supplied) and in the directory structure required
• Deliver accurate colour facsimile image files (with minimal post-capture processing or manipulation, i.e. no stitching of files or introduction of digital artefacts into image files)
