Overview

The Dunedin City Council (DCC) manages the Waikouaiti Domain, a 35-minute drive from Dunedin City. Part of the Domain includes the Waikouaiti Camping Ground which is leased to a private operator. The camping ground has a kitchen, toilet and shower facilities, 50 powered sites, 40 non powered sites and 4 cabins. The DCC is looking to implement a new lease effective 1 July 2025 and prior to then an upgrade of the camping ground water and electrical infrastructure is required.

We want to engage a single contractor for completing both the water and electrical work. While respondents may choose to partner with another business to deliver the work, we want one point of contract for this project. It is important for us that we work with a Contractor(s) experienced in commercial water and electrical work. We want to partner with a Contractor who has a vested interest in our city, can build good relationships and who have a track record of delivering positive outcomes. We require the Contractor to stick to programme to ensure our project deadline of 30 June 2025 is achieved.

A site visit is scheduled for this tender. Refer to the Request for Tender (RFT) for details.
