Overview

The Dunedin City Council (DCC) seeks to establish a three-year contract for metal work fabrication and installation. There is also an immediate opportunity providing metalwork services at the Dunedin Ice Stadium to ensure the facility remains safe for the users, especially during an emergency evacuation.

The contract includes minor maintenance works, and at the discretion of the DCC, large renewal work may be included, subject to budget. The DCC reserves the right to award a contract to two different suppliers for the three year term with one of them being allocated the Dunedin Ice Stadium work.

This is an exciting opportunity for locally based engineering firms to work with the DCC. During this tender time has been allocated for respondents to discuss in person the merits of their response with the evaluation team.

We want to partner with suppliers who can demonstrate a strong service experience with a track record of being responsive. Capability is important, we want to contract suppliers that have the experience working with a range of metal types on a range of different building types and environments. Local, Dunedin based resources, are important to us to support the local economy and ensure both our reactive and project metal work requirements are meet. The successful suppliers must also have the capacity to accommodate larger project or renewal work as they arise.

Suppliers to note, a site visit is scheduled for the Dunedin Ice Stadium, refer to the RFP for further details.
