Overview

The Dunedin City Council (DCC) 3 Waters department operates a Supervisory, Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to provide local and remote monitoring of our treatment plant assets, along with data collection for operational and compliance purposes. The system has evolved over a number of years and while serviceable there are significant opportunities for improvement.

We are seeking to partner with an experienced automation provider who has experience working with local government to maintain, review and improve our SCADA system to ensure it remains fit for purpose and resilient.

We’re interested in a supplier lead effort - standardising the look, feel and engineering of the SCADA system across 3 Waters. You will be able to demonstrate previous work with local government entities modernising legacy systems. You will be familiar with both hardware and software aspects of SCADA development, with the ability to review and develop networking arrangements with a particular focus on security.

This contract provides the opportunity to partner with us for the long term with a maximum contract term of up to 9.5 years subject to performance.
