Overview

The Dunedin City Council (DCC) uses an external provider to manage its IT service and support requirements. The services and outcomes delivered through this contract impact all areas of the DCC.
The DCC wants to partner with an experienced, capable and effective IT Managed Services (ITMS) provider long-term, to ensure we can continue delivering services to our communities.

We want to partner with an ITMS provider over a 10-year period. The current DCC ITMS contract is due to expire in 2025.

We want a partner that has a proven track record in delivering comprehensive IT Managed Services, the capability to support all of our ITMS service areas and the financial stability to support a 10-year engagement. The seven core ITMS service areas are:
1. Managed Service Desk and Professional Services
2. Network Services
3. Cloud Services
4. Hardware Procurement and Management
5. Software Licence Asset Management
6. Cyber Security Protection and Governance
7. Service Governance

Commitment to a partnership with DCC and strategic alignment is vital to the success of this contract. We need a partner that has a strong focus on cost efficiencies through continuous improvement.

A seamless transition of services is essential. We want a partner that has flexible and innovative thinking in their approach to transition and delivery of services to support a zero-disruption transition.

This RoI is stage-one in a two-state procurement process and will be used to shortlist suppliers. Stage-two will be an invited lean-agile procurement workshop event with shortlisted suppliers in February 2025.
