Overview

The Dunedin City Council (DCC) administer 20 cemeteries and one crematorium within the wider Dunedin City area.
We want to partner with an experienced supplier long-term to provide Interment/disinterment and Cremation services in a planned and structured way to ensure 100% accuracy of record keeping, while making sure that all burials and cremations are handled in a proficient and dignified manner.

We want to partner with an experienced and compassionate supplier that can deliver interments and any disinterment to a high standard in a considerate, safe and sustainable way, ensuring proper placement.
The supplier and key staff must be experienced and able to demonstrate previous interment contracts of similar term.
The successful supplier and their staff working within DCC cemeteries are required to be respectful and considerate to mourners and visitors to the cemetery.
We expect staff to be passionate about both our cemetery grounds, plant and machinery required to complete the required services and to ensure that all legislation relating to interments and local government practices and procedures are clearly understood and followed.
