This is an Advance Notice to inform suppliers of the anticipated timeline for an upcoming Expression of Interest (EOI) Invitation for Phases 1 and 2 of the Christchurch Men's Prison (CMP) Redevelopment Programme.

The Department of Corrections (the Department) last updated suppliers on 17 February 2025 through a market engagement process. The Department signalled to suppliers an intention to formally commence procurement, subject to confirmation of funding, through the release of an EOI Invitation mid-2025.


Funding for Phase 1 has now been confirmed and an EOI Invitation will be released on GETS on 12 May 2025.

The Department is seeking a consortium to design, construct, finance and maintain new prison facilities to be delivered over two phases (the Project) as part of the CMP Redevelopment Programme.

Further details on Project scope and key commercial terms will be provided in the EOI Invitation.
