Overview

This Notice provides advance notification to the market of the Department of Corrections (the ‘Department’) intention to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the supply of custodial lighting.

This procurement will result in the selection of a preferred supplier who will be responsible for:
- Supplying a catalogue of approved lighting components specifically for the custodial environment
- Supporting the Department in the development and uptake of lighting design standards
- Keeping the Department abreast of best practice and innovations from across the market.

This supply opportunity is for a long-term pipeline of intermittent supply of lighting components for existing sites and capital projects. The Department’s subcontractors/suppliers will be ordering directly from the catalogue on behalf of the Department. The proposed contract term is up to 9 years.

The RFP will be released via the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS). It is intended that this will be released in January/early February 2025. Please subscribe to this Notice to receive updates when the RFP is released.

NOTE: Any responses or information provided to the Department at this stage will not be considered. The Department will not, in general, enter any communications regarding the nature of this opportunity before the publication of the RFP.
