Within the building of the new Christchurch Justice and Emergency Precinct there will be a world leading Emergency Operating Centre (EOC) with an integrated, emergency readiness, response and recovery transition capability for coordinating local and regional emergencies. The EOC facility is defined as the location within the Precinct where emergency responses and other operations supporting significant events are planned and coordinated from. The level of EOC response will be able to expand and contract according to the needs of the emergency or situation. The EOC will adjust to meet the needs of the event and to provide stability as soon as possible. The EOC will provide a space for all government (local, regional and national) and non-government (non-government organisations, community groups and business sector) entities to work together for the good of the community.
We are looking for lead providers for core IT infrastructure to deliver a collaborative tool which allows all the emergency agencies to have the flexibility of sharing information with each other during any event. The tool needs to allow the agencies to securely manage their information within the EOC whilst sharing chosen documents with other agencies as required. The flexibility of the tool will need to allow for the range of agency operating systems and applications whilst giving visibility across these secure networks.
We are open to looking at opportunities for sponsorship and how this may help achieve the desired outcomes for the EOC.
