Counties Manukau Health wishes to engage a Respondent to manage and implement a programme of remedial works for the Main Kitchen and adjacent areas, located in the Ground Floor of the Harley Gray Building, Middlemore Hospital.
This project will restore the kitchen wall structures and flooring back to a better than new condition.
What we need
This project will remediate the damage caused by water ingress into some of the walls in the MMH Kitchen and also evident under the floor coverings in localised adjacent areas, and address the root causes to eliminate this situation occurring again in the future.
This facility operates 24/7 and will require a high level of planning and co-ordination to ensure operational impact is kept to a minimum. Food hygiene is of paramount importance and all risks to Food Safety must be identified and risk mitigations put in place to keep our staff and patients safe.
What we don’t want
We do not want to decant the Kitchen operation completely, as we must maintain 24/7 operational output throughout the project.
What’s important to us
CM Health is looking for credible providers who have the engineering capability, experience and infrastructure to implement a remedial maintenance program that will potentially incorporate creative remedial maintenance solutions.
Why should you bid?
This is an opportunity for your organisation to demonstrate your technical competence and creative engineering prowess, working collaboratively with one of the largest District Health Boards in New Zealand.
A bit about us
Counties Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB, CM Health, CMH) is one of the 21 District Health Boards (DHBs) in New Zealand. It is one of the top performing DHBs in New Zealand and is responsible for meeting the health and disability needs of the second fastest growing district in New Zealand, which will number 650,000 people within 15 years. One third of the ethnically diverse Counties Manukau population lives in high levels of socio-economic deprivation and there is high prevalence of related health conditions. The district also has the fastest growing population aged 65 years and over and the largest consumers of health care services. These factors mean that demand for health services is growing at a faster rate than population growth.
