Overview

This opportunity in a nutshell
Counties Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB) seeks to engage a Quantity Surveyor to identify, estimate, report and control project costs during the design and delivery of the Manukau Health Park Expansion Project.
Manukau Health Park, is a Super Clinic and Surgical Centre, which provides specialist outpatient services and day procedures for the South Auckland Region.
The increase in demand for elective surgery, and outpatients’ services, at both Middlemore Hospital and the Manukau Health Park site, has put excessive pressure upon Counties Manukau DHB’s existing facilities and infrastructure, particularly in regards to Operating Theatre, Radiology, teaching and learning, and outpatient consulting capacity.
Without an increase in the aforementioned services, Manukau Health Park will not be able to meet the predicted future demand placing additional pressure upon Middlemore Hospital and the wider Counties Manukau DHB health network.
In order to reduce pressure on Middlemore Hospital, and to increase the availability of access to elective and outpatient services, expansions and alterations to the existing Manukau Health Park are required.
The expansion of the existing Manukau Health Park, will reduce pressure upon the existing facility, and ensure the South Auckland community can readily access essential clinical outpatient services.

What we need
We require professional Quantity Surveying Consultancy Services to review and revise the project Cost Estimate prepared for the Detailed Business Case which is being submitted in Aug-2020, and to progressively prepare new cost plans based on updated stakeholder requirements and ongoing iterations of the project design, working closely with CM Health, the Project Manager and Design Team to develop an on-budget solution for the design and delivery of the scope of works associated with the Manukau Health Park Expansion.
