The Next Generation Critical Communications (NGCC) Programme intends to deliver a modern critical communications network for the Emergency Services sector (New Zealand Police, Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ), St Johns, and Wellington Free Ambulance), replacing aging radio infrastructure that is no longer fit-for-purpose and enhancing cellular networks to provide new capability including push-to-talk (PTT) voice and video services with pre-emption, prioritisation and quality-of-service. This will allow the sector to reliably use cellular communications, and mobile radio capability (NGCC Services), to enable improvements to the delivery of emergency services to the public.
This notice seeks registrations of interest to attend pre-procurement market engagements to discuss the Emergency Services sector requirements and understand the market’s capability to deliver the NGCC Services to the Emergency Services sector.
