Aviation Security intend to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) in Mid-February 2022 to procure up to 38 CT-EDSCB equipment and support items that are ECAC3 and TSA compliant and a supporting maintenance agreement. It is intended that a contract will be awarded in June 2022 with the intent that equipment is installed in the nominated airports by 30 June 2023.

The scope of the RFP will include:

• installing the capability at the current six New Zealand Airports with screening operations,
• introduction into service training and provision of the associated training tutor capability, and
• proven ability to integrate with the current in-service hardware and technology in use on the cabin baggage screening lanes.
