What we need
The Aviation Security Service (AVSEC) as the sole provider of Aviation Security Services at security designated aerodromes in New Zealand, provides comprehensive Avsec specialist technical training in-house for all Avsec frontline staff via the Avsec Technical Training Unit (Avsec TTU).
Avsec TTU has a development programme for the professional development of its Avsec Instructors in order that they possess both Avsec specialist technical skills and a high standard of general instructional and facilitation skills. One of the components of this development programme is the professionalization of Avsec Instructors by way of formal qualifications in the learning and development field.
To enable Avsec participants of the NZCATT level 4 qualification programme to be awarded the NZQA unit standards, Avsec TTU is seeking an approved and registered provider of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) National Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (NZCATT) Level 4 Certificate. The approved provider will be able to deliver the associated block course modules in-house at Avsec. NZQA approval is also required for the assessment and reporting of the credits by approved providers. Approved tutor marking and feedback of the associated module assignments for each Avsec participant post each of the block courses is also to be provided as a component of the programme. This is in order for the Avsec course participants to be awarded the NZQA unit standards required to complete this level 4 qualification.
