Buller District suffered significant damage to its roading and 3 Waters infrastructure as a result of the significant weather events and floods of July 2021 and February 2022. Since this time, Buller District Council (BDC) has been working to identify, quantify and plan the necessary remediation works to return its infrastructure to its pre-event condition.
The total estimated cost of the Roading Return to Service Programme is circa $11 million and is programmed to be delivered over the next 24 months.
It is intended to group projects into 12 separate contracts, with each contract comprising multiple projects (defects). The scope of these defects range from minor remediation to significant stabilisation and repair work.
The purpose of this ROI is to select contractors to be appointed to a Prequalified Panel for the provision of Construction Services for BDC’s Roading Return to Service Programme, plus various other infrastructure programmes.
Whilst primarily focused on the Roading Return to Service Programme, the Panel will be open for use by other BDC infrastructure programmes (such as NEMA, BAU and 3 Waters).
BDC is seeking contractors who have the capability, experience, scalability and systems to deliver value for money, timely and pragmatic construction solutions and advice.
