Overview

This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for Auckland Transport (AT). The aim of this process is to seek and obtain information from organisations about the potential supply of a system or builds on AT’s existing ServiceNow and Dynamics365 solutions that supports the permitting and consent process to Auckland Transport.
The RFI Information Contact Person set out in Schedule of RFI Conditions will be assisting with the administration of this RFI.
AT provides a diverse range of 17 permit and consent services to a broad range of internal and external customers, including utilities, developers, planners, temporary traffic managers, construction workers, trades and residents. These permits and consents are often bound by one or more pieces of national and local government legislation, and in some instances may be worked on collaboratively between AT and Auckland City Council. AT approves approximately 70,000 requests annually.
Currently AT uses a combination of multiple discrete business systems and processes across multiple internal departments. A significant proportion of the existing process and workflow is manual, often relying on email to move customer information between departments and provide notifications and escalations. A single customer permit or consent request might span three departments, be entered into multiple databases, and saved in multiple locations. Reporting and invoicing is carried out over multiple systems and often requires significant manual intervention. Customer and business insight generation is difficult and largely manual.

AT wants to deliver significant and sustainable customer experience improvements for its customers, business partners and itself. AT is looking for a solution that will help us address the system, process, communication, customer insights and workflow management shortcomings described in the current state background section above. The system proposed must integrate with the existing solution landscape. We seek information about possible solutions to address the current permit and consents shortcomings in a sustainable, economic, scalable, supportable, and practical manner. Additionally, we are interested in a solution that should have the capacity to integrate not only contemporary enterprise technologies but also emerging technologies that would benefit AT customers and AT.
