The purpose of this Advance Notice is to inform professional consultancies of an upcoming tender opportunity for the Auckland Network Optimisation Single Stage Business Case (SSBC). In addition to the Business Case work there is a desire to develop and agree a detailed programme for implementation in the next National Land Transport Programme (NLTP). Furthermore, a ‘One Network Optimisation’ tool and a Standard Interventions Toolkit is earmarked for development (full scope of this is still to be confirmed), the purpose being to develop a continuous funding mechanism for implementation of a dynamic programme. This is a joint Auckland Transport (AT) and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency led project with a regionwide, holistic optimisation focus.
This Advance Notice broadly indicates the scope of work and indicative timeline. Depending on final approvals, it is anticipated the RFP for this opportunity will be issued on Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) in July 2020.
