Auckland Transport (AT) has a range of technology ‘field devices’ installed across the transport network. The maintenance, renewal and installation of most devices is currently managed under the Field Device Maintenance (FDM) contracts.
There are many examples of FDM delivery models in existence around New Zealand and offshore. Each has merits and challenges specific to the situation and/or environment in which they are set. AT is therefore seeking industry experience of these examples to aid in the development of our future FDM environment from 2021 onwards.
We are looking for insight and understanding of the fundamental issues impacting the FDM environment and how commercial, delivery and level of service responsibility (risk) could best be shared between AT and the FDM supplier(s).
