Overview
A need has been identified to upgrade the Aotea Square lift (referred to as lift No.3) in order to improve the user experience, safety, access, and structural integrity. Aotea Square is located in the Auckland CBD and is a very popular performing arts hub – being able to accommodate up to 20,000 people.
The upgrade will include but not be limited to the following scope:
1. Removal of timber seats
2. Redo stone paving
3. Clean and flush out rainwater system
4. Walls to be painted
5. Lift car doors to be replaced
6. Landing doors on all level to be replaced
7. Construction of new lift lobby on the lower level
