Advanced Notice - Auckland Cycle Share
Auckland Transport (AT) is seeking and obtaining information from organisations about the potential supply and operation of an Auckland Cycle Share Scheme to AT. The desired objective of this project is to create an integrated extension of transport modes, extending public transport catchment areas through better first and last leg connections, enabling a more seamless extension of users commuting journeys.
Phase 1 involved undertaking an international cycle share benchmarking exercise and phase 2 looked at appropriate business models. This RFI for Phase 3 is seeking responses from potential operators, technology partners and suppliers.
This RFI divides the components of the scheme into the following categories:
A. physical scheme (i.e. scheme area, bike availability/parking, bicycles, health and safety, helmets, payment system)
B. operations (i.e. capacity, customer service, maintenance, infrastructure)
C. contractual
D. financial
E. other (i.e. lead time, social responsibility, risk prevention)
Submissions do not need to address every component. We are looking for a wide range of services and understand your interest may not cover all aspects of the operation.
