RFT Overview
This contract is for the construction of a new pedestrian footbridge and tie-in footpaths within the road reserve near the intersection of Tamahunga Drive and Matakana Road to 600m west of the Matakana Township.
Once built, the new bridge and concrete footpaths will allow improved access in the general area, and with time, the bridge will form a link in the overall footpath network in the area.
In order to meet key Auckland Transport timelines, the client seeks to have the successful applicant onsite commencing construction in summer of 2017/2018.
The design drawings for the new footbridge project have been included with these RFT documents.
As part of the overall development in the Matakana area additional concrete footpaths, vehicle crossings, and civil infrastructure works to the east of the bridge site are proposed. The design and consenting of these components are currently taking place but are expected to be complete ready for construction before the bridge works are complete. These additional works may, or may not, become a seperable portion of this contract.

- Auckland Transport Work Category : Prequalification Level for Construction Category Contracts: Category 3B as of 31 Oct 2017
