This contract is for the construction of two inground palisade retaining walls and footpath between 1-18 Beach Road, Milford. Investigations have identified that the existing crib retaining walls are failing and replacement retaining structures are required. The site is located along a cliff above the Milford Marina between. Beach Road is a two-lane urban road carrying an approximate 8000 vehilces over a 5 day period. Pedestrians, public transport, emergency services, residents and local business all use the road.
In order to mitigate disruption, Auckland Transport require the contract works to be successfully delivered within a specified timeframe in early 2018 and the road must not be closed during the works. The design drawings for the project have been included with these RFT documents.
What we need
Auckland Transport is seeking a physical works contractor to undertake the proposed palisade walls and footpath works, including all ancillary tasks, and pavement reconstruction to the road. The contractor is required to provide high quality construction services and to successfully deliver the project within the specified timeframe for construction works.
PRE-CONDITION:
- Prequalification Level for Construction Category Contracts: Category AT3B

Contractors must have subscribed to ISNetworld and be graded to the minimum level required prior to contract award, unless otherwise waived by Auckland Transport in its sole discretion.
