Aim:
To deliver a revised ferry strategy for Auckland.
The Strategy will build on, but will not be limited by, earlier investigations and planning and will develop and consider a wide range of opportunities to improve, expand and integrate the ferry service network into Auckland’s transport and land use system, taking into account Auckland’s planned growth for a period of up to 20 years.
The completed work will form part of the wider review of the Regional Public Transport Plan.
The successful organization will take guidance from Auckland Transport (AT) throughout the process, and deliver to agreed timeframes material for review and consultation, and presentation to AT Senior and Executive Leadership Teams, and as required to the AT Board.
The Strategy will be developed in two stages:
• Phase 1 will develop the strategic overview and framework that encompasses the wider picture, and, once this is established,
• Phase 2 will produce a more detailed operations approach to describe how the strategy can be implemented and made real for Auckland.
Note:
Auckland Transport at its sole discretion may decide to award stage one and stage two of the Ferry Future Strategy Services Request for Tender.
