The project:
This project is part of the 10 year ADHB facilities and Infrastructure Remediation Programme to improve site infrastructure including the resilience of the electrical power supply to, and within the Auckland City Hospital site.
The project is currently nearing completion of detailed design. The proposed work involves the upgrade of HV equipment at Substation P and F and requires installation and commissioning of critical Auckland City Hospital infrastructure (including two new emergency standby generators and upgrading two existing gensets).
The HV Main Contractor will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of all associated systems in the design which include mechanical, civil works, building services, and controls.
The nature of the works within a 24 hour live operating environment means minimising impacts on hospital operations will be critical to the successful delivery of this project.
Timing:
- Request for Tenders (via GETS): Early November 2020
- Contract Award anticipated February 2021
- Site works programmed to commence early Late February 2021
- Practical Completion programmed for October 2021
