Auckland District Health Board is calling for Requests for Tender from organisations with expertise and experience to provide specialist mechanical services for a formaldehyde extraction system in a live laboratory setting.
Works include alterations to the existing air conditioning supply and exhaust systems to reduce the level of chemical fumes in the Tissue Processing Room and the Cut-Up Room, and to counteract heat being emitted into room 2.20 from
the laboratory equipment. Consequential work will involve amending the ventilation rate of the PCR Extraction room (Room 2.50) and re-balancing the entire supply system from AHU 4 and the exhaust system Ex. 4.
Some minor building alterations are required to enable the works to happen successfully.
Auckland DHB is inviting submissions from interested parties to make these alterations under one main contract.
