Auckland District Health Board are calling for Registrations of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced consultants for:
1. INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES (including building services)
2. CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
Auckland DHB plans to rearrange the existing HDU facility in the Fraser McDonald Geriatric Psychiatric Unit. The alteration will provide an extra ensuite and access to the HDU deck. The Design process is c
Alteration to existing area involves converting an existing staff viewing base and accessible ensuite into 2 accessible ensuites (1 for HDU, 1 to replace existing), converting a window to a glazed French door (to match existing French doors) and installing a set of steel glazed Partition doors to separate the existing unit into 2 separate patient areas. Building Consent and Construction drawings will be required for these items.
The existing building is timber framed with brick veneer and aluminium joinery. It was remodelled in 2004 and the original appears to have been designed using NZS:3604 or similar with some modifications.
We are looking for a Consultant who can provide combined design services and has relevant hospital design experience as well as a Contractor who has relevant hospital experience.
1. Consultant - Project personnel, in particular the lead consultant/project manager who will attend design meetings and be responsible for document co-ordination within your company
2. Contractor will have relevant experience working in a mental health hospital environment whilst the area is in operation
3. References from two clients /consultants who have worked recently with the company on other contracts - preferably not ADHB
4. Confirmation with copy of current PI and PL insurance
5. Company structure including in house capability and resource to meet project timelines and ability to provide additional resource to meet project objectives if required
