Overview
Airways is considering a new Control Tower to be provided for Nelson Airport, and will be located on the North-West side of the existing terminal building. This ROI calls for suitably qualified construction companies to register their interest in constructing a new Tower on a design & build basis, under a NZS3916:2013 contract.
The concept for the design is being developed from the Hamilton and Blenheim Control Towers. Below the observation cab, the main structure will be precast concrete panels, it will be 4 storeys high with a relatively small foot print of approximately 60m2.
