Overview
Airways is considering options for the provision of IP Aeronautical VHF Radios and IP Voice Switch. This will enable Airways to support a range of Aeronautical Communication services. Airways Network has been re-engineered into an IP/MPLS Network and future deployments of VHF Radios and Voice Switch platforms will be IP-ready.
Airways intend to lifecycle its current population of approximately 160 Aeronautical VHF radios. Airways also intends to lifecycle its current Voice Switch platform. The timelines for these replacement programs is likely to be within the next 5 years.
