ACC works to reduce the overall incidence and impact of injury in New Zealand, through delivery of injury prevention, rehabilitation and compensation services.
The ACC Scheme provides comprehensive, no fault cover for accidental injury for all New Zealand citizens, residents and visitors. When injury does occur, ACC gives people access to a range of medical, financial and other support aimed at helping them return to work and everyday life as quickly and fully as possible.
This Request for Tender (RFT) for Vocational Medical Services is being published on GETS in accordance with the Government Rules of Sourcing. To apply for this tender you will need to be registered with GETS.
ACC is using a new tool - the ARCUS Supplier Information Management system (SIM) - for this RFT. SIM is an online tender tool hosted by Trade Interchange. Trade Interchange and GETS are separate organisations.
ACC has undertaken a review of current medical assessment services which has resulted in the re-design of medical assessment services related to vocational rehabilitation (vocational medical assessments). The re-design integrates a suite of services and extends the role of the medical practitioner who can support the vocational rehabilitation process to form the Vocational Medical Service.
Vocational Medical Services (VMS) includes three medical assessment services and one advisory service. These are the Vocational Medical Assistance (VMA) service, Vocational Medical Review (VMR) service, Initial Medical Assessment (IMA) service and Vocational Independence Medical Assessment (VIMA) service.
ACC is seeking to establish a Contract for Services Agreement(s) for an initial term of up to five years with two further rights of renewals at ACC’s discretion; each renewal will be for a period of one year (5+1+1).
The RFT will be open from Thursday, 29 January 2015 and close at 3:00pm on Monday, 9 March 2015. You’ll have 25 working days to complete your response.
This RFT will be conducted using an online tendering system supported by Trade Interchange. Submissions will be made through secure on-line forms using your computer’s Web browser. No special software is required. Responses and clarifying questions must be completed and submitted via the online tender tool.
