From 1 June 2014, ACC will be opening the Physiotherapy Services contract to new applicants. At this stage, ACC is not proposing to close the service to new applicants however any future changes will be notified through the GETS site.
To be a supplier under the ACC Physiotherapy Services contract, your practice will need to be certified against NZS 8171:2005 Allied Health Services Sector Standards. Evidence of this certification will need to be provided to ACC at the time of submitting your completed Application Response form.
As it is not clear at this stage what will happen with the contract after 31 May 2017, ACC suggests that Suppliers give careful consideration prior to going down the accreditation pathway, if you are obtaining accreditation for the sole purpose of gaining an ACC Physiotherapy Services contract.
Please note: Existing holders of the Physiotherapy Services contract do not need to apply as current contract arrangements will stand.
