Upcoming Webinars about Home and Community Support
Interested parties are invited to attend an upcoming webinar on an ACC proposal regarding our Integrated Home and Community Support Services.
What is Integrated Home and Community Support?
ACC funds home and community support services to deliver personal, child and home care to clients following an accident. These services are intended to support clients to return to independence or reach their maximum level of participation in everyday life. Support can vary from a few hours per week of home help to 24/7 care and support for our most vulnerable clients.
Each year we support over 25,000 clients to receive these services.
What is the webinar about?
ACC is seeking feedback on a proposal to change the way we purchase this service. The webinar will cover where this service has come from, some of the current challenges with the way we purchase services, and our proposal to address this going forward.
It will also highlight the key next steps and how you can provide feedback on this proposal.
We will allow for questions and answers at the end of the session.
The webinar is not about fundamentally changing the service itself, who is eligible to receive the services or changing the level of funding.
Who should attend?
• Any suppliers of home and community supports, whether you currently deliver services for ACC or not, are likely to be interested.
• Other funders of home and community supports.
• Homecare associations.
• Client advocacy groups are welcome to attend.
• Suppliers of other types of services may be interested, although it is not anticipated that the proposed change will have any impact on you.
When is the webinar?
We will hold two sessions:
Tuesday May 9th at 2:30pm
Wednesday May 17th at 5:30pm
Both sessions will be recorded and can be viewed later.
