At ACC, we are changing the way we respond to the needs of whānau and creating a more equitable ACC for Māori, which will benefit all New Zealanders. We are seeking to deliver new services that provide Māori with the protection, partnership and participation, promised in Te Tiriti o Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi).

We are seeking Registrations of Interest (ROI) from kaupapa Māori suppliers who:
a. have connection and presence within their local community;
b. are connected with iwi and have standing and credibility with other Māori organisations;
c. have a deep understanding of what whānau need to thrive following an injury; and
d. can deliver services that will support injured people.

We want to work with kaupapa Māori suppliers who can demonstrate social connectedness to the hapū/iwi of the community they serve. These suppliers must embrace ngā kaupapa tuku iho (values gifted by tupuna Māori) and demonstrate proven experience in delivering successful and whānau-centric health services. We need to ensure we’re working with the right people who understand how we can meet the specific needs of haukāinga (local people), which is why we’re taking a regional approach to developing and delivering these services, working within rohe (regions) in staged tranches.

Registrations of Interest for Tranche 1 are open from 18 May – 15 June 2021 for the Tainui rohe. Please read the Registration of Interest document and complete the steps outlined to register your interest in taking part in this opportunity. Successful Respondents will be invited to work with ACC, iwi, whānau and ACC clients to design and deliver Kaupapa Māori Health Services that are appropriate for their rohe. Once the service is formed, the next steps will include establishing an appropriate contract, and how the service will be funded.
