We told you in April that the current ISSC Contract would be extended (varied) by another year. This extension does not provide a level of certainty over the longer term that we feel our providers deserve during the nation’s ongoing response to COVID-19. As the current ISSC Contract is set to expire on 23 November 2020. It’s important that we move, now, to ensure ISSC service stability and sustainability during uncertain times by providing you with certainty regarding your ISSC Contract.
It is for these reasons that we will now be issuing a new ISSC Contract. The new Contract will be for an initial term of two years (24 November 2020 to 30 November 2022), with two further one-year rights of renewal (2+1+1). We will be running a simplified contract award process to help address some of the ongoing hardship caused by the COVID-19 response. You will need to confirm that you accept the new Contract as an incumbent supplier to continue to provide ISSC Service from 24 November 2020.
This new, longer-term Contract will provide you with more certainty during the COVID-19 response, ensure continuity of care for clients and allow us to align with other sector initiatives (like the Family Violence and Sexual Violence Joint Venture).
