Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) are provided to ACC clients as part of a wider suite of rehabilitation entitlements. VRS play a key role in getting clients back to work following an injury or helping them to stay at work if possible.
Our current contract is coming up for renewal on 1 September 2017, which gives us the opportunity to look at how we can enhance the service for both providers and clients.
Following a review of the existing services and feedback sought from stakeholders, we are incorporating a number of improvements into a proposed new contract for VRS. As a result, we plan to approach the market in the first quarter of 2017.

As part of this process we plan to hold a series of webinar briefings to explain this process, what it means for potential applicants and how the revised service model differs from existing services.
Further information on the approach to market and registration details for the briefings would be made available on the Government Electronic Tenders Service in early February 2017.

Timeline in 2017 (Indicative)

Late February: Webex pre-market briefings would be held
March - Mid April: Tender opens and closes
Early March: Webex Q & A briefings would be held on first week of Tender release
Mid April – late June:Evaluations and ACC approval process completed July Suppliers notified of outcome
Mid July – August: Contracts signed and returned to ACC
August: Supplier forums
1 September: Contract start date
